Coconut Cassava Wingko

Wingko is a traditional cake from Central and East Java, Indonesia. The ingredients of wingko are starch powder, grated coconut and other additional ingredients. Wingko is popular for its delicious and sweet taste.

Ingredients:

1 Coconut; grated
500 gram Grated cassava
150 gram Granulated sugar
½ tsp Salt
1 pack Vanilla powder (optional)
3 tbsp Starch powder
2 tbsp Margarine

Directions:

  1. Mix grated cassava, grated coconut, margarine, granulated sugar, salt, vanilla powder, and starch powder in a mixing bowl. Stir it well.
  2. Cook the mixture over low heat.
  3. Spread the margarine on a pan. Pour the wingko mixture and cook it till fragrant.
  4. Let it cool down and cut into desired shape. Wingko is ready to be served.
  5. Wingko can be stored in freezer and heated up to be served.
