Urap is a traditional cuisine from East Java that is made of mixed vegetables and coconut seasoning. The coconut seasoning will give the savoury and spicy taste to the dish.

Ready in :   30 minutes

Ingredients:

½ Grated coconut
1 Red chili
4 cloves Garlic
5 Green chili (optional)
2 Lime leaves
2 cm Greater galingale
¼ tsp Shrimp paste
Sufficient amount of tamarind, salt, sugar, seasoning
Additional ingredients: vegetables (cassava leaves, bean sprouts, etc)

Directions:

  1. Crushed all the seasoning, then mix it with grated coconut.
  2. Steam covered for 15 minutes.
  3. Boil the vegetables. Mix the vegetables with seasoned grated coconut. Urap is ready to be served.
